Where is the best French food in Adelaide? That’s a question many people have tried to answer.
Although there is a lack of restaurants that serve authentic French cuisine in Adelaide, there are actually some really lovely French bakeries and restaurants scattered around the place, if you only know where to look.
Au Matin Calme is a charming little coffee shop located at 210 Hutt Street, near the middle of the city. They have friendly staff, a cosy venue, and some of the best almond croissants in Adelaide, as well as a tasty range of fruit tarts, crème brûlée and coffee. Miam!
The Pot Food And Wine is a lovely, fine dining restaurant with some wonderful French food. It is very expensive, however, so you’ve been warned. You can find it at 160 King William Rd, Hyde Park.
D’Artagnan is a great restaurant with amazing food and a warm (dare I say romantic?) atmosphere. The staff are friendly, the food is just divine and it also has good value for money. Discover it at 26 O’Connell St, North Adelaide.
Bistro France serves delicious, authentic French cuisine in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere, with a focus on high quality food. The soufflé is highly recommended. Find it at 374 Greenhill Road, Glenside.
